2011 Tin Box Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon "Meriting a three digit score, the 2011 Tin Box is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot from a hillside vineyard. It boasts a vivid perfume of acacia flowers and blueberry liqueur that bursts from the glass with vibrant purity as well as intensity. A magnificent red wine with unreal richness, full-bodied unctuosity, low acidity, and velvety tannins.." Robert Parker

2012 Sugarloaf Mountain Proprietary Red Wine "The deep garnet-purple colored 2012 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Deep garnet colored, it offers up notes of fruitcake, exotic spices, prunes, black truffles and Morello cherries with hints of garrigue, tilled earth and bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers a firm foundation of ripe, grainy, tannins supporting the bright, vibrant fruit, finishing long and with a minty lift. " Robert Parker

2012 McGah Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon "The perfect 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon McGah comes from a Rutherford parcel owned by the McGah family. Virtually all Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 75% Taransaud and 25% Gamba wood, it boasts off-the-charts richness as well as an inky/purple color and notes of graphite, spring flowers, blackberries, blueberries, cassis, licorice and forest floor. This incredibly fruity, full-bodied, voluptuously textured wine can be consumed now and over the next two decades or more.” 100 points Robert Parker

2014 Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard, Proprietary Red Wine "A blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, the 2014 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain comes from a cooler site in south Napa, above a quarry. It usually allows for a longer hang time, often lending a minty or herbal lift to the wine. Deep garnet in color, the nose of the 2014 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain opens with intense scents of stewed black cherries, kirsch, blackberry preserves and baked plums with hints of dried Provence herbs, pencil shavings and olives with a waft lavender. The firmly textured, full-bodied palate is built like a brick house, packed with energetic, muscular black fruit and finishing long and vibrant.” 100 Points, The Wine Advocate

2014 EE, Tench Vineyard, Red Wine "The 2015 Proprietary Red EE Tench Vineyard is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it soars from the glass with a whole firework display of exotic spices, potpourri and sandalwood scents over a core of redcurrant jelly, preserved plums, crème de cassis and kirsch with wafts of pencil shavings and crushed rocks. The opulent, full-bodied palate is jam-packed with black and red berry preserves, framed by an exquisitely plush texture and fantastic tension, finishing with epically long-lasting Chinese five spice layers and fragrant incense whispers." Robert Parker "Pure perfection is the 2015 Tench Vineyard EE and it’s a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot brought up all in French oak. This tour de force boasts phenomenal notes of spring flowers, violets, plums, blueberries, black cherries, and incense. Full-bodied, seamless, perfectly balanced and layered, hats off to Bevan for this crazy good Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon." Jeb Dunnuck

2014 Tench Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon "Russell has made a killing farming and making wine from Oakville’s Tench Vineyard in the heart of the high-rent district of Rudd, Screaming Eagle, Phelps, Dalla Valle and a few others. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard is his third perfect wine of the vintage, which, believe me, is a trifecta of brilliance. Aged three-fourths in Darnajou and one-fourth in Taransaud, the wine is as dark as a moonless night, has the telltale blueberry and blackberry liqueur notes with Asian spice, incense and the perfume of a flower shop. Deep, built like a skyscraper, with multiple levels, well-integrated acidity and tannin, this big, juicy, succulent and intense wine is a tour de force and can be drunk now or cellared for 20-25 years." 2015 Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard, Proprietary Red Wine "Another perfect wine from Bevan is the 2015 Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard Proprietary Red Wine, a Cheval Blanc-like blend of 55% Cabernet Franc and 45% Merlot brought up all in French oak. This huge, full-bodied, opulent 2015 carries itself like a ballerina - elegant, weightless and even graceful, with remarkable purity of fruit. Currants, blueberries, liquid violets, Asian spices and a distinct minerality all emerge from the glass and it has both incredible complexity and richness. Bravo!" Jeb Dunnuck

2018 Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon "I always seem to compare great wines from this site with Haut-Brion, and I think the comparison holds here, although it’s a Haut-Brion on steroids! The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Dr. Crane Vineyard reveals a dense purple color as well as a powerful nose of ripe black fruits, tobacco leaf, earth, coffee beans, and gravelly earth. All of these carry over to the palate, where the wine is full-bodied and has a deep, layered mid-palate, sweet tannins, and a blockbuster of a finish. Hats off to the talented Russell Bevans for another brilliant, singular wine that’s going to keep for 20-25 years.” 100 points Jeb Dunnuck "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard was aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, 100% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it sashays out of the glass with flamboyant scents of redcurrant jelly, Black Forest cake, blackcurrant pastilles and rose oil with suggestions of cast-iron pan, pencil lead and tilled soil plus a waft of fragrant earth. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated with firm, exquisitely ripe, fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, it delivers an incredible mineral and perfumed red fruit firework display finish. Fans of Dr. Crane are going to LOVE this expression, masterfully crafted by Russell Bevan—an absolute must-try!" The Wine Advocate, Lisa Perrotti-Brown

2018 Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon "The 2018 Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Cabernet Sauvignon is a total knockout and looks to be the most impressive of all the truly outstanding wines from Russell Bevan in this vintage. This is an immense, towering wine that immediately starts off displaying a stunning black inky color, which is followed by seductive aromas of blueberries and ripe blackberry cordial, which are accompanied by fresh violets, espresso, loam, spices and hints of dark chocolate shavings that are impossible to resist as they explode from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied and intense, with a layered, voluptuous mouthfeel that shows incredible depth and concentration. It goes on to impress as it displays a wonderful seamless texture all the way through the long, multi-dimensional finish that carries on and on. This is an absolute gem from Bevan, which is already utterly captivating, however it should also offer a lengthy drinking window that will span the course of multiple decades” 100 points International Wine Report

2018 Calixtro, Tench vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon "Pure perfection, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard The Calixtro is a vineyard selection from a great site just beside the winery, on the east side of Oakville. Offering a decadent, full-bodied, concentrated style as well as lots of red and blue fruits, spring flowers, spice, and an almost bloody, iron-like character, it’s a heavenly Cabernet that delivers both intellectual and hedonistic pleasure in spades. It already offers pleasure yet should keep for 20+ years.” 100 points Jeb Dunnuck

2019 Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is the crown jewel in this year's collection of Bevan releases. Hints of green coffee bean and sage accent hugely ripe flavors of black cherries and cassis on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is impossibly plush, wonderfully supple and richly textured, leading into a decadently long finish.” 100 points The Wine Advocate

2019 Calixtro, Tench Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon "All Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard The Calixtro is incredible and unquestionably a perfect wine in this reviewer’s opinion. Ripe currants, iron, black cherries, graphite, and some meaty, spicy notes all define the bouquet, and it’s full-bodied, has flawless balance, ripe, supple tannins, and a great finish. It delivers a rare mix of purity, precision, and opulence that’s something to behold. I like it today, yet it should cruise for another two decades in cold cellars.” 100 points Jeb Dunnuck

2021 Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon "An Haut-Brion look-alike, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard reveals a dense purple hue to go with awesome aromatics of smoky red and black fruits, iron, scorched earth, tobacco, and black olives that's to die for. Hitting the palate with full-bodied richness, it shows the vintage's more straight, focused style yet is still voluptuous and sexy, with building tannins, incredibly purity, and a great, great finish. Pure Napa Valley magic, this insanely good Cabernet Sauvignon deserves 3-5 years of bottle age and will have 30-40 years of overall longevity.” 100 points Jeb Dunnuck

2021 Calixtro, Tench Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon "Another structured, inward, yet incredibly impressive Cabernet Sauvignon in the vintage, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard The Calixtro offers a dense purple/plum color as well as full-bodied aromas and flavors of chocolate covered black cherries, iron, baking spices, and sandalwood. Already complex, deep, massively concentrated, yet focused and tannic, with good acidity, this brilliantly layered, insanely good 2021 needs to be forgotten for 4-6 years and will evolve for two to three decades in cold cellars.” 100 Points Jeb Dunnuck
